To encourage all brothers and sisters to understand missionary, an international organisation, InterCP and HWC will held a mission course together, which has 8 lessons (the last 5 lessons will be held in a camp). Speakers/lecturers are missionaries who knows about the needs in mission fields. The course will try to cater for different language needs. Location: HWC, Date: 5th October (Saturday) - 19th October (Saturday), Time: 6.30 - 9.30 pm. Camp Date: 25th-26th October (tentatively) location: TBA. Please register at the Usher desk by 29th September. Please contact Pastor Tony Yeung for any query.
The mission offering pledge form is for those who wish to financially support the mission fund for the year 07/2019-06/2020. It can be a one-off or split payment. Please put the pledge form in an offering envelope before putting it in the offering boxes. If you wish to donate with cash or cheque, please fill out a white offering form (tax rebatable) for local mission and a blue offering form (not tax rebatable) for overseas mission. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Pastor Tony Yeung.
The 49th Baptism will be held on 6 October 2019. Brothers and sisters who is interested in baptism, church membership, or child dedication may apply to the pastoral team or deacons. Deadline for application is today.
Congregation news: Sunny Ha and Fay Ong are getting married next Saturday 21st September at 1:00 pm at Elim Church (159 Botany Road, Botany Downs). Brothers and sisters are cordially invited to witness God’s grace. Please pray for the couple for a God-centered marriage.
Mission Information
Pray for Rev Janet Tam as she prepares for opening Sunday school and children’s music classes, with the aim of drawing children to God.
Please pray for S&C to reach more students and their parents in their ministries. May God strengthen them and protect the family.
Pray for the mission course jointly organized by InterCP and HWC. May God encourage brothers and sisters to pay attention to global mission, lead a life of mission to expand God’s kingdom.
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray for the newly elected Deacon Board who take office from this month for two years. May the Lord guide them to be obedient and God-pleasing custodians of the church, give them wisdom and health to lead the church in serving God and all the brothers and sisters.
The new church motto for the next 2 years - “Renew Our Lives. Become His Disciples”. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out this motto.
Please pray for the recruitment of senior pastor, English youth pastor, Cantonese and Mandarin pastors.
Thank God the construction work for church expansion has been going well. May God give us one heart and one vision to complete this project.
