2. 2026–2027 Church Theme: Together in Love, Living Out Christ - In the new year, we hope to build genuine relationships in love and live out Christ in our daily lives, so that our faith becomes both a personal practice and a collective testimony. May the love of the Lord flow among us and reveal His glory through our community.
3.Family Forum: Vision 2026: Join us on 16 & 23 November for our English Congregation Family Forum! We’ll be sharing our vision for 2026 — what it is, how it’s different from where we are now, and what it might look like in practice. This is a time for our whole congregation to come together, listen, ask questions, and anticipate what God is leading us into.
4. Sri Lanka Short-Term Mission Trip Application: The church will be organising a Sri Lanka Short-Term Mission Trip from 4 to 16 July 2026, and applications are now open. Application forms can be obtained from the Mission Notice Board. Please submit the completed form to your congregation pastor by 16 November 2025. We warmly invite brothers and sisters to pray, reflect, and respond in faith by joining this mission service.
5. Save the date! HWC English congregation Summer Retreat 2026 - Get ready for a 1-day event focused around connecting and strengthening our relationships with fellow brothers and sisters! There will be food, activities, worship and time to reflect on our individual spiritual direction for the new year.

6. Roof Replacement Notice: The construction company officially began the roof replacement work on Monday, 3 November, and the project is expected to be completed within three to four weeks (depending on weather conditions). Further updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
7. For Steve and Grace: Pray for Steve as he begins chemotherapy on 14 November — that God would strengthen and heal him through the treatment. Pray also for his wife Grace, that she may have peace, endurance, and faith as she supports him through this journey.

By giving, we honour God and fulfill His work through our church. May God bless the offering we willingly give. Mission News
1. Pray for the recruitment of the Sri Lanka short-term mission team: Registration for the mission team will close on 16 November. Pray that the Lord will continue to move brothers and sisters to seize this opportunity to respond to His call in faith and take part in this mission. Also pray for the preparation team, that God would guide the upcoming arrangements so that everything may go smoothly and be a blessing to the participants, the church, and the local ministry.
2. Please pray for S & C: Give thanks that they will be returning to New Zealand over Christmas and New Year to reunite with family after a long time apart. Pray that their time here will be refreshing and filled with meaningful fellowship. Also pray for wisdom and strength as they prepare for the February study trip with students, parents, and teachers, that all plans will go smoothly and reflect God’s care and guidance.
3. Pray for H & P: Give thanks for God’s guidance in their ministry, especially for the growing outreach among university students through English and Chinese classes. Pray that the students will encounter the gospel and that H & P can continue to build trusting relationships with them. As they prepare for the Christmas evangelistic events and work alongside short-term mission teams, ask God to bless their planning and make their witness fruitful. Also pray for strength and wisdom for H as he preaches this month, that the congregation may be built up through God’s Word.
4. Please pray for Reverend Janet Tam: she has recently been experiencing pain in her right heel, making it uncomfortable to walk. Pray that the Lord will grant healing and rest, easing her pain and allowing her to experience His grace and peace through treatment and recovery. Also pray for Rev. Clement Man, who will be leading a short-term mission team to Sri Lanka in mid-December. May the Lord bless their partnership, grant a smooth journey, and make their ministry a blessing to the local church and brothers and sisters there.
5. Please pray for H & Y: Give thanks to the Lord for His faithful guidance over the past few months, sustaining them with His Word through both ordinary and difficult times. Pray that the Lord would continue to bless their ministry with university students, families, and local believers, that God’s Word would take root and lives would be transformed. Pray especially for a sister working alongside H&Y who is facing late-stage breast cancer, that the Lord would show comfort and power, and provide for her health and needs.
6. Please pray for Nic Yao. Thank God that his fundraising for the Taiwan short-term mission trip has been successful, and he will be flying out on 18th November. Pray for a safe and smooth journey, and that this ministry will bear lasting gospel fruit among the students and on campus. We also give thanks for God’s healing of Nic’s cough, and pray that his health continues to be stable. Pray that the Lord will strengthen him in body, mind, and spirit for the work ahead, and raise up a new generation of student leaders to continue proclaiming the gospel on campus.

For Steve and Grace: Pray for Steve as he begins chemotherapy on 14 November — that God would strengthen and heal him through the treatment. Pray also for his wife Grace, that she may have peace, endurance, and faith as she supports him through this journey.
