Giving

Let us remember the joy of giving and the blessings it brings to both the giver and the receiver. Tithe offering is a duty of all Christians. By giving, we honour God and fulfill His work through our church. May God bless the offering we willingly give. For more details on how you can give, please visit our church website: https://holywordchurch.org.nz/en/giving.

Mission Monthly Prayer Items (March)

1. Pray for the Sri Lanka Short-Term Mission Team as they begin training and preparation. Ask God to unite their hearts, shape their character, and equip them for effective service. Pray also for God’s provision and blessing as they begin their fundraising.

2. Pray for S & C as they travel back to their mission field this month. Ask God to grant them safe journeys, renewed strength, and smooth transitions as they resume ministry, and that He would continue to use them as faithful witnesses of Christ.

3. Pray for H & P as they prepare for a children’s summer camp outreach and continue serving through language classes and the university centre. Ask God to build strong relationships with Burmese students and their families, grant patience and wisdom in ministry, strengthen their intern families toward long-term mission, and sustain them physically in the intense heat. Pray also for fruitful evangelism and that many more would come to faith and be baptised this year.

4. Pray for Rev Janet as she prepares to receive a short-term mission team from a Chinese church in Sydney this month. Ask the Holy Spirit to grant her and the team wisdom in planning, unity in service, and fruitfulness in their ministry together.

5. Pray for H & Y as they leave the mission field in early February, spend a month in Asia, and travel to Australia in March to reunite with their family. Ask God to grant them safe travels, smooth transitions, and clear guidance for their next season of ministry.

6. Pray for Nic as the new university year begins at Victoria University. Ask God to open doors to reach many students with the gospel, to raise up Christian students with a heart to share their faith, to strengthen new student leaders, and to provide for Nic’s financial support needs.

Prayer Items for this week:

  • Pray that we would remember that deliverance comes from God alone. Just as God made a way for the Israelites at the Red Sea, pray that we would learn to trust Him in difficult and impossible situations. Ask that our faith would grow as we rely on His grace and recognise that He is the one who rescues us.

  • Pray for Mission: Refer to the Mission Monthly Prayer Items above.
