  1. A very warm welcome to everyone who's visiting us for the first time this morning. We are delighted to have you here.

  2. There will be morning tea after worship service. Feel free to stay behind and enjoy a time of fellowship.

  3. There is a special offering box set up on the usher’s desk for Dawn Operation today. Brothers and sisters are welcome to support their ministries through donations.

  4. Early-bird registration for this year’s camp is now opened! This year’s topic is “The Cost of the Cross” with Aaron Geddis as the main speaker. Date: Friday 29th November 6 pm - Sunday 1st December 2 pm . Location: Peter Snell Youth Village 1212 Whangaparaoa Rd, Gulf Harbour, Whangaparaoa. From now until 1 October we are offering the following prices: Students - $118 and Working - $124, so sign up today!

  5. To encourage brothers and sisters to attend the mission course, InterCP is opening the first lesson on 5th October to all with no admission fee, but registration at the usher’s desk is necessary. There are 8 lessons, with the 4th and 5th lessons held in a camp. Location: HWC, Date: 5th October (Saturday) - 16th November (Saturday). Time: 6.30 - 9.30 pm. Camp Date: 25th-26th October (tentatively) location: TBA. Course fee is tentatively $90, registration closes on 29th September. Please contact Pastor Tony Yeung for any query.

  6. Spring BBQ: The caring department of the Cantonese Service is organizing a spring BBQ which will take place at HWC on Sunday 20th October, 5–7 pm. Fees: $15 for adults, $5 for children from 6–10 years old, free for children less than 5 years old. Families and friends are welcome, registration closes on 13th October. Please contact Jenny Lee or Herman Yu for further information.

  7. Congregation News: The father of Wendy Siu rested in the Lord earlier. Wendy and Coleman have returned to Hong Kong for the funeral last Thursday. Please pray for Wendy’s health, strength and comfort from God. Coleman is returning to Auckland tomorrow, and Wendy will stay with her mother in Hong Kong for four more weeks.

  8. Daylight saving begins next Sunday 29th September. Please move your clock forward by one hour on Saturday 28th September.

Mission Information

  1. Pray for Rev Janet Tam as she prepares for opening Sunday school and children’s music classes, with the aim of drawing children to God.

  2. Please pray for S&C to reach more students and their parents in their ministries. May God strengthen them and protect the family.

  3. Pray for the mission course jointly organized by InterCP and HWC. May God encourage brothers and sisters to pay attention to global mission, lead a life of mission to expand God’s kingdom.

  4. The pledge offering is the total offering a member is willing to give in the year July 2019 to June 2020. The amount can be given as an one-off or split payments. Pledge offering helps the mission department with more effective planning of the development of ministries in the year.

  5. To avoid confusion, please put pledge offering cards into envelops before dropping into the offering box. If cash or cheque is enclosed, please remember to fill out the blue offering slip and put them together into the envelop. Please contact Pastor Tony Yeung for any questions.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. Pray for the newly elected Deacon Board who take office from this month for two years. May the Lord guide them to be obedient and God-pleasing custodians of the church, give them wisdom and health to lead the church in serving God and all the brothers and sisters.

  2. The new church motto for the next 2 years - “Renew Our Lives. Become His Disciples”. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out this motto.

  3. Please pray for the recruitment of senior pastor, English youth pastor, Cantonese and Mandarin pastors.

  4. Thank God the construction work for church expansion has been going well. May God give us one heart and one vision to complete this project.
