    We encourage all brothers and sisters to participate this meeting. According to church’s regulations, the meeting can only commence if there are more than 50 percentage of members present. For a member to qualify to vote, they are required to have more than 50 percentage attendance over the past year. If you are going to be absent, you can find a proxy to vote on your behalf. To apply for a proxy, you will need to complete a form, scan and return to hwc@holywordchurch.org.nz as PDF format or through physical mail before 5th July 2 pm. Any submission after the deadline will be void.

  5. Cantonese adult Sunday school will resume next Sunday at 9 am. Cantonese prayer meeting will start at 8:30 am.

  6. Brother Man Fai Yau’s father has passed away last Wednesday in Hong Kong. Please remember the family in your prayers.

  7. Overseas Mission and Hardship Fund: We have received a total of $50.00 offerings for overseas mission in May 2019. The account balance to 31 May 2019 was $1,998.32. For the hardship account the account balance is currently $4,150.55.


    Mission Prayer Items

  1. Praise the Lord! The CMI Vanuatu Mission Trip team have returned to New Zealand on 12 June. Pray for God to keep working in the hearts of the people of Vanuatu. The Mission team will be sharing about their trip on the 14th July.

  2. Remember S & C in your prayers. May the Lord help them to find co-workers so that they will not be alone in the mission field.

  3. Missionaries J&P will be leaving NZ at the beginning of July and start the mission field for their mission work and training. May God guide their path and help them settle into the field.

  4. Pray for Pastor Janet Tam’s ministries. She currently preaching two times a month. Pray that her preaching can meet the needs of the congregation. She is now applying for the work visa for her second year. Please pray for God’s guidance.

  5. James Che and his wife have taken a leave of absence from the Tanzania Chinese Christian International Church. During this time, a Korean missionary couple will be shepherding the church. James and his wife are now back to New Zealand visiting churches and taking a rest. Please pray for the Tanzania Chinese Christian International Church, and for James’ health as he receives treatment in New Zealand.

  6. Pray for August mission month. The topic this year is “A Life of Mission”. Pray for God to spur us on to live as missionaries in our daily lives..

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. Please pray for the pastoral recruitment for a senior pastor, Cantonese pastor and English pastor.

  2. With one of the nominated candidates having withdrawn from the upcoming candidacy, please pray that God would choose his faithful servants according to his will. Pray for the new deacons so they will serve God and the church faithfully.

  3. Pray for our leaders training course , Bible study groups and Sunday school. May God give us a heart that desires God’s Word.

  4. Pray for the church expansion executive team and the contractor. May God keep the construction safe and give us one heart and one vision to complete the project.

  4. 25th Anniversary Event: There are 2 biblical workshops, free of charge, will be held on June 28th (Friday) from 2:00 - 5:30 pm and 29th (Saturday) from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Registration is required. A Bible Conference (培靈會) will be held from 7:45 to 9:30 these two evenings. All events will take place at our Church. Speaker: KK Leung (Head of “Word of Life” programme at China Graduate School of Theology), please refer to the poster (link). All Brothers and sisters are invited to attend. Please register your interest at the Usher desk.

  5. Combine service: KK Leung will also be speaking at our church service next Sunday 30/06. We will have combine service (English/Cantonese) at 10 am. Prayer meeting will start at 9 am.

    M1 - People who we have direct relationships with.

    M2 - Within Auckland

    M3 - Other places in New Zealand outside Auckland

    M4 - Overseas

  2. Donation:

    Donating to M3: Online banking to our mission account 06-0229-0142488-02, or use the WHITE offering slip with cash or cheque address to “Holy Word Church of Auckland”.

    Donating to M4: Use the BLUE offering slip with cash or cheque address to “Hardship & Overseas Mission Fund”.

  3. Donation Receipts

    M3 donation receipts are negligible for tax rebate. A receipt will be provided to all M4 donations but the receipt is not tax rebatable.
