51st Baptism will be held on 4 April as a combined service from all three congregation. For those who wants to be baptised, please contact any Deacon, Pastor or your Small Group Leader. Deadline is 7th March. All applicants are required to have their nurturing course completed. Once an application is received, baptism class will be arranged and the deacons will meet with you to confirm your faith. Please also contact us if you would like to have your church membership transferred to HWC or would like to have child dedication.
A Children’s Growth and Development Seminar will be held by Children’s Sunday School on Sunday, 7 March from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The speakers are Ronald (registered psychologist), Cordelia (experienced educator), and Coco (occupational therapist). The topic is “Childhood Anxiety”, followed by a Q&A session. Childcare service will be provided during the seminar. All parents are welcome. Click here to sign up.
27th Anniversary Combined Worship Choir: To celebrate the church’s 27th Anniversary, Sacred Music Department will assemble a church choir of all 3 congregations to perform on 23 May. It is now open for registration and will require an audition to be accepted. The deadline for registration is 21 March; audition date is 3 April at 4:30 pm; choir members are required to attend at least 5 practice sessions, on 10 April, 17 April, 1 May, 8 May, 15 May from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, and 22 May 2:30pm to 3:15pm. Congregation News: sister Lee (李雅仙) passed away peacefully on 18 February. The memorial service will be held in our church on Saturday 27 February, 10:30am. Please pray for her daughter Mrs Fook (霍王玉珍) and her family. May the Lord comfort their soul.
Mission Information
Rev. Heshen, the principal of Smile Lanka school, sent us a letter to thank The Holy Word Church for the financial support. May the gospel reach the families and children in need.
Please continue to pray for Pastor James Che’s health and recovery. May God continue to use His servant.
“Praying for Muslims in 30 Days” will be held from 13 April to 12 May. Please pray for this religious group together, and pray that God will send more servants to serve them, so that they can benefit from the gospel

The motto for this year will remain the same as previous year. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out the church motto this year - "Renew our lives, become His disciples."
A new pastor has been hired for the Cantonese service. Please pray for her application of the work visa. May God give her peace in her wait.
