Inauguration Ceremony for Reverend Manuel Lam: Thank the Lord for His guidance! The Inauguration Ceremony for our new Cantonese Pastor, Reverend Manuel Lam, will be held during worship on 16/2 (next Sunday) at around 11:40am. We invite all brothers and sisters to set aside time to attend and witness God’s grace and leading. May God use Reverend Manuel Lam and Reverend Mureen Wong as a faithful team to lead the Cantonese congregation, shepherd His people, proclaim the gospel, disciple believers, and build a church that glorifies His name.
Adjustment to Administrator’s Day Off: Starting from March, Administrator Stanley Yu will have his day off on Mondays. As a result, the church office will be closed every Monday. Please take note of this adjustment.
Pastor ET is away preaching at Chinese Alliance Christian Church (CACC) this morning.
Mission News
Pray for the Missions Goals of All Three Congregations: Pray that each congregation embraces the Great Commission in the new year, focusing not only on local outreach but also on the needs of missionaries and the gospel's reach to distant places. May the gospel be proclaimed to the ends of the earth!
S & C: Praise God for the successful Christmas event—a grand banquet with 30 tables—where families enjoyed a life education gathering centered on family happiness. Give thanks for the home group members who are now supporting a couple to evangelize in other towns.
H & P: Praise God for the opportunity during Christmas to share the story of Jesus' birth and His love at a public school with 1,600 students and teachers, despite the school's Buddhist background. Give thanks for His protection during a car accident that left their vehicle severely damaged. Pray for H’s continued recovery and the smooth handling of post-accident procedures.
Reverend Janet Tam: After a busy Christmas period, she is now preparing to release a long-anticipated gospel booklet in English and Sinhala. Pray for its impact. She is also planning to establish the first Chinese children’s and youth orchestra in the area as a tool for musical discipleship and pre-evangelism. Pray for God’s guidance.
H & Y: Serving in a remote Islamic area as international students, they are protected by their academic excellence and support from their teachers despite suspicions about their purpose. Pray for provision amidst rising living costs and rent increases. Remember them as their visas expire in March and they need renewal. Pray for protection as two colleagues were deported last year.
Pastor James & Jessica Che: Pray for their ministry and health as they return to serve in New Zealand.
Nicholas Yao: Pray for strength and guidance as he transitions to ministry in Wellington after the summer. May God help him adapt quickly to the new environment.
Prayer Items
Pray for Reverend Manuel Lam – Ask for God’s wisdom, strength, and guidance as he begins his pastoral ministry. May he lead with humility, compassion, and a heart for God’s people.
Pray for the upcoming baptism – Lift up those preparing to take this step of faith, that they may fully grasp the significance of their commitment to Christ and be strengthened in their spiritual journey.
Pray for the sermon message – May today's message deeply convict and transform hearts. Pray that we may grasp the depth of God's mercy and be empowered to extend forgiveness to others as we have been forgiven in Christ.
