Announcements

  1. A very warm welcome to everyone who's visiting us for the first time this morning. We are delighted to have you here.

  2. There will be morning tea after the worship service. Feel free to stay behind and enjoy a time of fellowship.

  3. A pastor has accepted an offer from the church for the pastoral role for the Mandarin Congregation. We are currently in the visa application process. Please continue to keep this in your prayers.

  4. HWC in association with InterCP is holding a graduation ceremony at church at 7 pm on 23 Nov. There will be a shared dinner at 6 pm, brothers and sisters are encouraged to each bring a dish to share.

  5. The stairs outside the first-floor hall are currently closed for maintenance. Due to health and safety reason, please do not use the side stairs until further notice.

  6. For the next two weeks (24 Nov and 1 Dec) the Sunday school children will be collecting new toys for a charitable organisation called “Little Sprouts”. This organisation will donate these toys to children from less privileged families for Christmas. We encourage brothers and sisters to purchase new toys for the collection event to support Little Sprouts and show Jesus’ love to these families. Click here for more information.

  8. This year’s camp registration has ended. Please make your payment to the church account (06-0229-0142488-05) with your name as a reference before 16 Nov. Early-bird student - $118.00, Normal student - $124.00, Early bird working - $124.00, Normal working - $130.00. Early bird prices are only applicable to those that signed up before Oct 2.

Mission Information

  1. Pastor Janet is arranging a mission trip to a primary school in southern Sri Lanka. We pray that the gospel seeds will be planted in the hearts of the children. May God lead the team to serve and build His Church. Pastor Janet’s newsletter can be found on the Mission Department notice board in the kitchen.

  2. Pray for Tanzanian Chinese Christian International Church as they are preparing a new project including a culture centre, library and three additional classrooms. May God use their school to bless more Chinese people. The latest newsletter can be found on the Mission Department notice board in the kitchen.

  3. Pray for Mission Department for we are organising a mission trip to Sri Lanka in May next year. May God guide the planning and strengthen our hearts of evangelism.

  4. Please pray for our fellow brothers and sisters who are going on Student Life Projects this summer; Marco (Taiwan), Daniel, Jeri, Johnny (Nelson), Luke (Auckland).

    a) Please pray for them all as they prepare for their trips; that God may use them to be an impact for God's kingdom, that God may grow them during the trips and in a conviction for the Great Commission.

    b) Pray that God will be working in the hearts of the people who they will be meeting with.

    c) Pray that God may continue sustaining them through his Word, that they may be continually trusting in the Lord, in his continual provision and guidance, remembering that he is the one who is at work.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. The new church motto for the next 2 years - “Renew Our Lives. Become His Disciples”. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out this motto.

  2. Please pray for the pastoral recruitment committee. May the Lord guide this whole process.

  3. Church Expansion: Give thanks to the Lord, our new building has passed the Council’s final inspection. We are now in the process of applying for the Certificate of Code of Compliance (CCC). Please continue to pray for this final phase of the project.

  4. Pray for the brothers and sisters who are going away during the summer holidays. May God keep them safe and stay connected spiritually.

  5. Pray for the “Door-knocking ministry”, where members reach out to residents in Flat Bush every fourth Saturday afternoon and every second Wednesday afternoon of the month.

  6. Holidays are coming up, brothers and sisters may be travelling domestically and internationally, please pray for their safety during this time.
