  1. A very warm welcome to everyone who's visiting us for the first time this morning. We are delighted to have you here.

  2. There will be morning tea after the worship service. Feel free to stay behind and enjoy a time of fellowship.

  3. Floral Offering: A floral offering form for 2020 is available on the Usher desk. All brothers and sisters are welcome to register if the Spirit moves you.

  4. The stairs outside the first-floor hall are currently closed for maintenance. Due to health and safety reason, please do not use the side stairs until further notice.

  5. Church Expansion: Give thanks to the Lord, our new building has passed the Council’s final inspection. We are now in the process of applying for the Certificate of Code of Compliance (CCC). Please continue to pray for this final phase of the project.

  6. The church has hired a new cleaning company this month, and they will be responsible to clean the whole church building. Small groups are no longer required to share the cleaning duty. Thank you all for everyone’s contribution in the past and please continue to keep this building clean and tidy.

  7. Last week, we discovered that there are a lot of toys in the baby room. Due to the limited space, the church can only accept a limited number of donated toys. The rest of the toys will be placed near the door outside the baby room. If you have donated these toys, please reclaim the toys as soon as you can. In the future, if you wish to donate any items to the church, please contact Stanley Yu or Wynne Wong first. The church will decide if we can accept them according to our needs.

  8. This year’s camp registration has ended. Please make your payment to the church account (06-0229-0142488-05) with your name as reference before 16 Nov. Early bird student - $118.00, Normal student - $124.00, Early bird working - $124.00, Normal working - $130.00. Early bird prices are only applicable to those that signed up before Oct 2.

Mission Information

  1. Pray for H & P’s mission work. Due to the political situation, there is not much room for H to expand the gospel ministry. Please pray for “H” patience and God’s guidance for “P” as she prepares for her future involvement in the ministry. Also, pray for their son to be able to adapt to the new school environment. Their newsletter can be found on the Mission Department notice board in the kitchen.

  2. Pray for Sri Lanka Chinese Baptist Church as they are preparing for Chinese Children Sunday School. Pray for the mission team who will be visiting there in December. May God lead the team to serve and build His Church. Pastor Janet’s newsletter can be found on the Mission Department notice board in the kitchen.

  3. Pray for Tanzanian Chinese Christian International Church as they are preparing a new project including a culture centre, library and three additional classrooms. May God use their school to bless more Chinese people. The latest newsletter can be found on the Mission Department notice board in the kitchen.

  4. Pray for Mission Department for we are organising a mission trip to Sri Lanka in May next year. May God guide the planning and strengthen our hearts of evangelism.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. The new church motto for the next 2 years - “Renew Our Lives. Become His Disciples”. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out this motto.

  2. Please pray for the pastoral recruitment committee as they interview candidates of a senior pastor, English youth pastor, Cantonese and Mandarin pastors. May the Lord guide this whole process.

  3. Thank God for the construction work for church expansion has been going well. May God give us one heart and one vision to complete this project.

  4. Pray for the brothers and sisters who are going away during the summer holidays. May God keep them safe and stay connected spiritually.

  5. Pray for the “Door-knocking ministry”, where members reach out to residents in Flat Bush every fourth Saturday afternoon and every second Wednesday afternoon of the month.
