2. The 58th Baptism Sunday Combined Service will be held next Sunday at 10:00 AM.

4. The inauguration ceremony for the new deacons will be held during the combined service next Sunday.
5. Bridge to C will be setting up a bookstall at our church next Sunday, Baptism Sunday (5 October). They will bring a selection of Bibles, books for parents and children, marriage and relationships, as well as resources for spiritual growth, along with various gifts for brothers and sisters to purchase. On the day, both cash and EFTPOS will be available for convenient and secure payment.
6. The Finance Department will issue the first half-year personal offering statements in early October for confirmation. To ensure accuracy of names and email addresses on the receipts, those who are giving for the first time this year or have updated their email address are asked to send their IRD-registered name and email address to accounts@holywordchurch.org.nz. 7. Mission Month Response Update: Praise the Lord! As of this week, we have received 38 response forms. Faith Pledges: M3: $2,675 (Annual Budget $17,865) & M4: $12,175 (Annual Budget $29,700)
We thank God for every response. The prayers, participation, and pledges of brothers and sisters are not only a response to God’s calling but also the essential foundation for the church to plan mission ministries. If you have not yet submitted your response form, we warmly encourage you to take this opportunity to join together with the whole church. Deadline: 30 September 2025.

Giving
Let us remember the joy of giving and the blessings it brings to both the giver and the receiver. Tithe offering is a duty of all Christians. By giving, we honour God and fulfill His work through our church. May God bless the offering we willingly give. Prayer Items
For the Sermon Message – May we learn to discern between what is holy and unholy, so that we live as God’s holy people and proclaim the gospel through our lives.
For Baptism, Membership and Child Dedication – Pray for all who are preparing for baptism, church membership, and child dedication. Ask the Lord to strengthen their faith, help them understand the spiritual meaning of these steps, and grow in body, mind and spirit to be a living testimony in God’s family.
For the New Deacons – Pray for God’s wisdom and strength upon the new deacons. May they serve with humility and faithfulness, and work together with the pastors and church family to build up the body of Christ.
For Recent Tragedies in the U.S. – Pray for comfort and peace for the families of those killed in recent attacks, including Iryna Zarutska and Charlie Kirk. Ask God to strengthen the grieving, protect the vulnerable, and bring an end to such violent acts.
