Thanksgiving prayer meeting: Next Sunday 31st December, we will gather to share what God has done in our lives this year and give thanks to Him. We will pray, encourage and eat together. We will start at 4pm; dinner will follow afterwards. Come join us and register your interest.
Men Support Group (MSG) is an opportunity for brothers to get together and share our struggles and successes. Our next MSG gathering is planned for the Tuesday 2nd January with the theme "New Year, New Me"!

The Deacon Board has now hired Pastor Herman as the English Pastor and his official engagement will commence on the 3rd January 2024.
Congregation News: - New
a) Connie Wong's granddaughter, Yen Yen, has completed four rounds of chemotherapy, the progress is well and she can return home to spend time with her family for Christmas. In January 2024, she will receive radiotherapy. Please continue to pray for Yen Yen, asking the Lord for peace, effective medical care, and a speedy recovery for the young girl.
b) Belinda’s dad has just passed away. Let us keep Belinda, Hoffman, Hannah and their family in our prayers during their time of grief. As a church family, we mourn together and look out for one another.
2024 Floral offering can be registered at the front desk now. If you have a heart to dedicate a floral offering to God, please fill in the registration form. Floral offering is a form of dedication to God, therefore only Christians are allowed to offer flowers for Sunday services.
Chinese Learning Workshop is now open for enrollment for 2024. Details are as follows:

Target Audience: Children of Holy Word Church and Friends, aged five and above, who can write and communicate in Cantonese, as the instruction will be in Cantonese.

Please sign up using the registration form on the ushers desk.Our Administrator, Stanley Yu's mother passed away from old age and returned to the Lord. Stanley will take bereavement leave from tomorrow onwards, 25th December to travel to Hong Kong for the funeral. Please pray for Stanley and his family for God to comfort everyone. During his leave, Holman Cheng from Cantonese Congregation will cover his responsibilities, until Stanley's return on the 17th January 24.
Pastor ET will be on leave from to January 5, 2024. During this period, please contact Nixon Fong or Sally Che for any matters that relate to English Service.
Mission News
Remembering S & C, the meteorological experts predict that the "strong cold front" will last for several weeks and the temperature will drop to historically low, please God protect their health!
Pray for H & P's online missionary training courses, and also for P’s return to his hometown to visit his father who is unwell. May the Lord have mercy and heal!
Pray for the service of Reverend Janet Tam, who has recently been busy with church Christmas activities and participating in the Smile Lanka program. She is often travelling north and south. May God keep her healthy and safe!
Pray for H & Y's service, and pray for their busy homework, asking the Lord to give them wisdom to manage the balance between study and service!
Pray for missionary James Che and his wife and their service in the Tanzania church. May the Lord give them strength to shepherd the “little lambs”.

Pray that the Lord would help brothers and sisters to draw closer to Him during the Advent season, remembering the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pray for Pastor Ivan Hui and his family, for their physical and mental wellbeing, so that they can regain their strenghth.
The Israel-Gaza war has caused more than 20,000 deaths and 50,000 injuries, and also triggered a humanitarian crisis. May God stop the hostility between the two parties, so that peace can come onto the land, and the people can receive the righteousness and peace they have long desired.
