Announcements

  1. A warm welcome to everyone who joined us this morning. We are delighted to see you all.

  2. 30th Anniversary Celebration Notices:

    • The church has prepared commemorative gifts for the anniversary, which can be collected by the entrance after the service. Each person is allowed to take only one, and please do not collect on behalf of others. However, parents may collect for their Sunday School children. Those who did not attend today's service can pick up their gifts next Sunday.

    • "Fingerprint Art Collective Creation" - The artwork symbolizes abundant grapes, symbolically connected to Christ through the branches. Please follow the instructions at the entrance of the hall to place your fingerprint on the painting before/after worship.

    • A beautifully crafted thematic photo booth (30th Anniversary Photo Booth) will be set up in the side hall. After the service, photographers will be available on-site to take photos for everyone. Please follow the instructions and line up for the photos to speed up the process. Personal selfies can be taken afterward.

    • The anniversary banquet will be held at Panmure Palace Restaurant starting at 5:30 pm. There will be performances and game sessions, so please arrive on time.

    • The seating arrangements for the banquet have been organised. Attendees can click this link to find their table number. Additionally, the seating chart is on the kitchen noticeboard and will also be posted at the entrance of the banquet venue.

    • Photos from the anniversary service and banquet will be published in the 30th Anniversary Magazine, which will be printed and distributed later. In the meantime, the articles can be viewed on our website.

  3. Reverend David Pao public revival meeting will be held from July 5 to July 7 at 7:30 PM at our church. The sessions will be conducted in Cantonese without translation. For more details, please refer to the poster. Additionally, Reverend David Pao will be preaching at the Cantonese Sunday service on the morning of July 7.

  4. Cantonese Congregation Farewell Party for Pastor Ivan Hui: We thank the Lord for guiding Pastor Ivan and his family in serving our congregation faithfully for over four years, shepherding the flock with dedication. To express our gratitude to Pastor Ivan, a farewell party will be held next Sunday (26/5) after the Cantonese service. Brothers and sisters, please reserve time to attend.

  5. Cantonese Caring Department's Love Feast will be held after the Cantonese service on June 9, 2024, and you are welcome to invite family and friends to join. Participants are encouraged to bring their own utensils. Lunch cost is by donations. If you plan to attend, please sign up at the usher station by June 2, 2024.

  6. For today's combined service, we will be using Telegram Messenger to do the English translation.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. Thank the Lord for leading our church to grow roots in the East Auckland area for thirty years, spreading the gospel from the local Cantonese community to the English and Mandarin-speaking communities. May the Lord use the combined worship service and dinner on the 19th of May for the thirtieth anniversary to unite the three congregations as one, accompanied by the love of the Lord, passing on His teachings, and establishing a healthy church that loves God and loves people.

  2. We thank the Lord for guiding Pastor Ivan to our church in 2020 to shepherd the flock, allowing biblical teachings to be effectively disseminated through the internet during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful for Pastor Ivan's theological guidance, which has firmly established our church on an Evangelical path. We also appreciate Pastor Ivan's efforts in nurturing and encouraging leaders to pass on and take up the mantle, enabling the church to grow in true love and mission. We pray that the Lord will be with Pastor Ivan, providing him with the peace to care for his family and ensuring his physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, to the glory of God and the benefit of others.

  3. Under the leadership of the church's Pastoral Search Committee, the process of hiring a pastor for the Cantonese congregation has begun. We pray that the Lord, who leads the church, will provide the most suitable pastor for the Cantonese congregation, so the flock may be shepherded and grow healthily.

  4. Please continue to pray for the war in Gaza. Israel has once again attacked the city of Rafah, causing hundreds of thousands of people to flee urgently. We earnestly ask the Lord to guide both sides to release hostages and cease the war, so that peace may be restored in Palestine.
