Church First Aid Volunteer Recruitment: The church is currently recruiting volunteer first aiders. Applicants must hold a valid first aid certificate with at least one year of validity remaining (NZQA certification is not required). If you are willing to be on duty during church gatherings, please email your name, congregation, and the expiry date of your certificate to hwc@holywordchurch.org.nz. Deadline is 30 June. If you have any questions, please contact your congregation’s deacon.
Church Roof Repair Progress Update: The church roof repair project has experienced slower progress than expected due to the time needed to gather professional assessments from various structural engineers. The Church Maintenance Team and the Deacons Board are actively in contact with relevant companies to obtain updated quotations and to finalise the details for the roof replacement. Progress updates will be communicated to the congregation in due course. Please continue to remember this project in your prayers, asking for wisdom, provision, and a smooth path forward.
Welcome Baby Skylar: We rejoice with Sharon and Dallen Chan on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Skylar, born on June 4th. Congratulations to the Chans! May God’s abundant blessings be upon both mother and child, granting them peace, joy, and good health in the days ahead

Mission News
S & C will be returning to New Zealand at the end of the year for furlough. Please pray as they train local coworkers to take over various ministries. Ask God to raise up workers with leadership gifts to serve Him faithfully.
H & P will also return to New Zealand for furlough in the middle of this month. Pray for those taking over their ministry roles — may the Lord strengthen them as they serve the community, lead fellowships, and continue outreach among university students.
Pastor Janet Tam, with permission from Evangelism Explosion Hong Kong, has completed a Sinhala translation of an English gospel booklet after more than two years of preparation. This booklet will be shared with local Baptist churches — may the Lord use it mightily. Our pastoral team has also begun initial discussions with Pastor Tam regarding next year’s short-term mission trip. Pray that members from all three congregations will be moved to participate.
Pray for H & Y as they juggle demanding language studies and minister to many spiritual seekers. May the Lord grant them wisdom and strength to balance their time well.
Remember the churches in Tanzania and Ethiopia. Pray for unity among local coworkers and for God to bless their gospel work and pastoral care.
Nicholas Yao is currently inviting new believers and seekers to an upcoming student conference at the end of this month. Pray that God will use the conference to draw many students closer to Christ and bless all who attend.

Applying Today’s Message: Pray that we would live out missional holiness—being set apart in our conduct, relationships, and daily life, so that we may reflect God’s character and bring His light to the world. Ask God to help us be a holy people on mission.
Our Spiritual Growth: Pray that each of us would continue to grow in our relationship with God, becoming more like Christ in our thoughts, actions, and love for others. May our church be a community that encourages and builds one another up in faith.
Annual General Meeting (AGM): Pray for God’s wisdom and unity as we prepare for the upcoming AGM. Ask for clarity in discussions, faithfulness in decisions, and a shared vision for the church’s future.
