Announcements

  1. A warm welcome to everyone who's joining us for the first time this morning. We are delighted to have you here.

  2. We would like to encourage our brothers and sisters to wear a mask or face covering when attending our activities. As you are entering into the church building, please remember to sanitise your hands and sign in using the NZ COVID Tracer App or write your name down on the attendance form. We will continue to live stream our Sunday services online for those who needed to stay home.
If you have cold or flu symptoms, please stay home, and call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice about getting tested.

  3. Finance Department News: ANZ Bank will stop accepting cheque deposits from 31 May 2021. To make an offering, please transfer to the church’s ANZ account by online banking, or insert cash into the offering box in the church.
Remember to write down your legal name when you fill out the donation form or online deposits for the purpose of tax records. Any further inquiries please contact deacon Amy Yeung.

  4. Lady Ruby Drive Exit: The car park exit to Lady Ruby Drive is temporarily closed starting this Sunday, because the container truck parked on the side of the road often obstructs the line of sight of moving vehicles, which caused an accident earlier. The church has formally requested the council to draw yellow lines near the exit.

  5. Hymn Sharing: Caring Department will organise a Hymn Sharing and Dinner event on Sunday 13 June, 4:30pm - 6pm. All 3 congregations are welcome to join. Participants may enter as solo, family, or group performance. Sign up for the hymn sharing and pre-paid dinner are available at the front desk. For further inquiries please contact sister Jenny and Jane.

  6. Community Service: A Covid-19 Vaccination Seminar will be held in the church on Saturday 15 May, 2pm - 3:30pm. Speaker is Dr. Franklin Fung. Friends and families are welcome.

  7. India Covid-19 Donation: India is suffering in the Covid-19 crisis. Our church is appealing on behalf of Red Cross NZ for donations to help the people of India with lifesaving medical equipment including oxygen cylinders, ventilators, anti-viral drugs, and vaccinations. Donations can be put into the donation box by 23 May, or go online at www.redcross.org.nz

  8. Children’s Growth and Development Seminar will be held today from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. It will take place in the upper hall at church. All parents are welcome. Please contact Sally Che or Rebecca Hu to sign up.

Mission Information

  1. Remember the August Mission Month in your prayer. Mission department is preparing for the occasion. May God make us understand the meaning of the Great Commission.

  2. Please pray for Rev Janet Tam’s work visa application. Under the sending organisation’s rule, Janet cannot leave the country without visa, thus her trip to Hong Kong will be delayed.

  3. We are praying for Muslims for 30 days during their fasting month. Pray that they will come to know Christ and that Lord will send more missionaries to share the gospel with them.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. Pray for the Deacon election in July. May God find the suitable person to serve His people and church.

  2. Pray for pastoral recruitment for the Senior Pastor and English service pastor.

  3. A new pastor has been hired for the Cantonese service. Please pray for her application of the work visa. May God give her peace in her wait.
