Summer Day Out (Cantonese Service): will be held on 23 January (Saturday) at Devonport. If you are interested, please register by 20 January at the ushers’ desk.
Chinese New Year Carnival: To celebrate CNY with our friends, family, and people in the local area, we will be holding a carnival on 13 February (Saturday) from 2pm to 5pm at HWC. There will be games and food stalls where you can make purchases with vouchers. All proceeds will go to support the Auckland Foundation Covid-19 Community Response Fund to help families who have been affected by the pandemic. Vouchers cost $10, please contact Sam Chan if you would like to purchase vouchers.
Cantonese Service Summer holiday activities:
Family’s wool felting class:
(i) Wet felting class - Ages 4-6; Date: 30 January 2021
Parents must accompany in the class and each class will hold 10 children. Classes will hold at 10:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. Fee is $15 per person.2021 calendar. If you have not collected yours you may find them near the main door as you exit the church. Each family unit may take one.
Pastor E T Wong is on annual leave between 18 and 29 January.
Mission Information
Please remember S&C, H&P and Pastor Janet Tam in your prayers. Pray that God gives them physical and spiritual health and peace so they can pastor their respective churches and glorify God. Please pray for their families and co-workers in the mission field.
Pastor James Che’s health has improved. Give thanks to the Lord and continue to pray for his recovery.
Pray for missionary Karen Tong and the committee of the Tanzania Chinese Church. May the Lord keep them and expand their cross-cultural mission.
Pray for the Mission department’s $23,000 annual budget to March this year. May the Lord provide.
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray for pastoral recruitment for the Senior Pastor and English services Pastor.
The motto for this year will remain the same as previous year. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out the church motto this year - "Renew our lives, become His disciples."
A new pastor has been hired for the Cantonese service. Please pray for her application of the work visa. May God give her peace in her wait.
Continue to pray for the world during COVID-19 period. May God brings peace to those who are impacted.
