Announcements

  1. A warm welcome to everyone who's joining us for the first time this morning. We are delighted to have you here.

  2. The church resumes all activities including Sunday services, fellowships, small groups and other meetings within the government's restrictions under Alert Level 1. We would like to encourage our brothers and sisters to wear a mask or face covering when attending our activities. As you are entering into the church building, please remember to sanitise your hands and sign in using the NZ COVID Tracer App or write your name down on the attendance form. We will continue to live stream our Sunday services online for those who needed to stay home.
    If you have cold or flu symptoms, please stay home, and call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice about getting tested.

  3. Floral Offering for 2021: If you are moved to do floral offering for 2021, please fill out the form on the reception desk. If you wish to offer on behalf of your children, both parents would need to be Christians.

  4. Christmas Donations: HWC is planning to organize the donation of food to the families in need through Salvation Army, to show our love and care for these members of the community in this season. We will be collecting canned food or biscuits at church in the next three weeks, please make a contribution for this good cause. Please note the expiry date of the donated food needs to be after 28/02/2021. We will also donate $1,000 to Salvation Army which to assist families affected by the coronavirus epidemic.

  5. Our church camp will take place on 4-6 December at Peter Snell Youth Village, Whangaparaoa. We are excited to have Pastor Phillip Porter speak to us on the theme, "Renew & Reform", as we seek to refresh and grow in our walk with God. There will also be a workshop, activities/games and a quiz night. The fees are as follows: $120 for students and $130 for adults.   6. Cantonese Service Summer holiday activities:

    (a) Sport Day: Saturday, 19 December 2020 at 10:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.

    (b) Family’s wool felting class:
    (i) Needle felting class - Ages 7-15; Date: 9 January 2021
    (ii) Wet fleting classs - Ages 4-6; Date: 16 January 2021
    Parents must accompany in the class and each class will hold 10 children. Classes will hold at 10:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. Fee is $15 each head.

  7. Pastor ET will be preaching at Auckland Christian Mandarin Salvation Church at 11:15 am.

Mission Information

  1. H&P have finally settled down in their mission field. Please remember their children who are studying in NZ. Pray that they can grow healthily and be used by God.

  2. Pray for the numerous non-believers in Sri Lanka, and the pandemic.

  3. James Che’s bone marrow transplant is waiting to be scheduled by the hospital. Pray that God will work through the hospital to give him a space for treatment and bless his recovery after the procedures.

  4. This year’s M4 budget is $23,000.

  5. Pray for the mission department’s preparation for next year’s mission month topic and arrangements.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out the church motto this year - "Renew our lives, become His disciples."

  2. Pray for the brother and sister who were baptised earlier in the month so they can witness and glorify God.

  3. Pray for pastoral recruitment for the Senior Pastor and English services.

  4. Pray for New Zealand’s situation during COVID-19 period and especially for Auckland. May God brings peace to those who are impacted.
