A warm welcome to everyone who's joining us for the first time this morning. We are delighted to have you here.
The church resumes all activities including Sunday services, fellowships, small groups and other meetings within the government's restrictions under Alert Level 1. We would like to encourage our brothers and sisters to wear a mask or face covering when attending our activities. As you are entering into the church building, please remember to sanitise your hands and sign in using the NZ COVID Tracer App or write your name down on the attendance form. We will continue to live stream our Sunday services online for those who needed to stay home.
If you have cold or flu symptoms, please stay home, and call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice about getting tested.Brothers and sisters who are unable to attend the Sunday service at church may contact our administrator Stanley and arrange a time to pick up a prepack Holy Communion set (3 packs per person) for partakingHoly communion at home.
Children Sunday School classes have moved back to church. All kids are welcome!
Our church camp will take place on 4-6 December at Peter Snell Youth Village, Whangaparaoa. We are excited to have Pastor Phillip Porter speak to us on the theme, "Renew & Reform", as we seek to refresh and grow in our walk with God. There will also be a workshop, activities/games and a quiz night. The fees are as follows: $120 for students and $130 for adults. Bible Reading Plan

Mission Information
Pray for the dire pandemic situation in Sri Lanka, as well as the three newcomers that came to the church last month, pray that their eyes will be opened to see and accept Jesus Christ. Also, remember the postpartum recovery of Purple, Rev Janet’s daughter and the growth of her baby girl Darya.
Pray for brother Kerry Ding, the president of Tanzania Chinese Church’s committee. Kerry Ding and his wife responded to God’s calling, they have decided to study theology and serve the Lord for the rest of their lives. May the Lord strengthen them and guide them.
Please remember missionary Karen Tong, may the Lord help her adapting to the life in Tanzania and serving the local congregation.

This year’s M4 budget is $23,000. Mission department is rolling out a Pledge Offering program in order to plan for next year’s ministry, e.g. supporting another missionary in the Muslim community. Pledge offering forms are available at https://holywordchurch.online/mission-pledge and on the usher’s desk . The deadline for submission has now been extended to 25 October.
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray for the 50th Baptism. May God strengthen the faith of those who are getting baptised.
Pray for pastoral recruitment for the Senior Pastor and English services.
Pray that brothers and sisters can live out the church motto this year - "Renew our lives, become His disciples."
Pray for brother Kam Wai Law for a speedy recovery after surgery.
Pray for New Zealand’s situation during COVID-19 period and especially for Auckland. May God brings peace to those who are impacted.
