Mission Information

  1. Pray for the Mission Month. May the Lord use his servants, and revive our heart in mission.

  2. This year’s M4 budget is $23,000. Mission department is rolling out a Pledge Offering program in order to plan for next year’s ministry, e.g. supporting another missionary in the Muslim community. Pledge offering forms are available at https://holywordchurch.online/mission-pledge Brothers and sisters may submit the amount they pledge both in separate or one-off payment from Sep 2020 - Mar 2021. Deadline for submission is 27 September.

  3. Holy Word Church will continue to support five missionaries with some slight adjustments to funding allocation. We have allocated an amount in the M4 budget to support the Smile Lanka school for impoverished children in Sri Lanka for one year. We will also provide support to the “30 days of prayer for the Islamic world” initiative. The total Overseas Mission fund budget for the year is $23,000. The Overseas Mission department has planned a faith giving initiative on the 30 August to encourage sisters and brothers to give to overseas mission by using their tax refunds from regular giving. (Note that M4 donations are not tax-deductible).

  4. Pray for C and H&P. They have finished quarantine in their respective mission fields and back to their ministry. Pray that God protects them spiritually and physically, that they can stay safe and have the strength to carry out the mission.

  5. Praise the Lord! Pastor Janet’s daughter has given birth to a baby girl.

  6. Praise the Lord! the Tanzania Chinese International church has completed construction of the new church building.
