Announcements

  1. A warm welcome to everyone who joined us this morning. We are delighted to see you all.

  2. Pastor Ivan Hui from the Cantonese congregation, due to personal and family reasons, is unable to balance church pastoral work in the short term. After earnest prayer and careful consideration, he has decided to resign from the position of the Cantonese pastor of the church. The board of deacons, after considering various aspects and discussing different options with Pastor Ivan, reluctantly accepted his resignation, effective until May 31 of this year, respecting his decision. During this period, Pastor Ivan will take unpaid leave and transition duties with the church pastoral team. We encourage everyone to continue supporting Pastor Ivan and his family with love through prayer and action. The church will announce the details of a farewell gathering for Pastor Ivan at a later date.

  3. MSG is an opportunity for brothers to get together and share our struggles and successes. Next up on our programme: "No Time To Think, No Room To React: What are men supposed to do when situations escalate?" Read more and register your interest here: https://forms.gle/1oS8PzSdsdQK695AA

Scheduled for 1:30pm - 3pm, Sunday 10th March in the upstairs hall.

  4. Congregation News: Jessica, the wife of Brother Tommy Ho Sik Hong from the Cantonese Service, peacefully entered the presence of the Lord at home on February 29. The memorial service will be held in the church hall on March 9 at 10 a.m. We pray for the Lord's comfort for the grieving family.

Mission News

  1. Pray for S & C as they serve in the new year, asking the Lord to guide them to focus on the needs of local believers and lead more people to the Lord.

  2. H & P are currently organising Chinese and English tutoring classes in collaboration with the local church. Pray for the Lord's use in this endeavor. In the previous session, three groups of parents are now participating in church worship. Please pray for these parents!

  3. Pray for Reverend Janet Tam, who is currently on vacation and spending time with her family. Ask the Lord to grant her rest and strength for a fresh start.

  4. H & Y express gratitude for our prayers. Their daughter had once lost her way in faith, and it was a challenge and emotional burden for them in their past service in the field. Thank the Lord! There has been a miraculous transformation in their daughter over the past year.

  5. Remember James Che and his wife, who are working diligently for the Lord. They are currently shepherding a church in Tanzania. Later, they will fly to the United States to attend conferences and promote fundraising for land acquisition for the Tanzanian church ministry.

Prayer Items for the Week

1.       Pray that the Lord will guard Pastor Ivan, keeping him free from the troubles of insomnia. Also, pray for the Lord's protection over the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of his family, granting them renewed strength.

2.       Pray for our Children's Ministry. Let's lift up our dedicated teachers, volunteers, and, most importantly, the young hearts they nurture. Pray for wisdom, creativity, and a deep connection with each child as they share the love and teachings of Christ. May the children grow in faith, understanding, and joy in their relationship with God.

3.       Pray for the ongoing conflict in Gaza. After 4 months of military actions, the overall death toll has surpassed 30,000. We lift up all those affected by this devastating situation. Comfort the grieving families, heal the wounded, and provide solace to those who have lost their homes. May God's mercy reign in the midst of chaos, bringing an end to the violence and a dawn of reconciliation.
