A warm welcome to everyone who joined us this morning. We are delighted to see you all.
55th Baptism will be held on 31st March as a combined service for all three congregations. For those who want to be baptised, please contact any Deacon, Pastor or your Small Group Leader. The deadline is 25th February. All baptism applicants are required to have their nurturing course completed. Once an application is received, baptism class will be arranged and the deacons will meet with you to confirm your faith. Please also contact us if you would like to have your church membership transferred to HWC or would like to have child dedication.
Pastor Herman's Inauguration Ceremony will take place on January 28th at 10:00 AM during the English worship service. We welcome brothers and sisters from all three congregations to set aside time to attend and bear witness to the grace of the Lord.

The Significant Woman life coaching discipleship course: it is designed for women of all ages and stages of life. This course will help you experience a renewed passion for living, a more intimate relationship with God, and a stronger sense of God’s unique plan for your life. The course is built on 6 biblically based principles and is taught in a coaching environment. Come and discover more about your meaning in life and your own personal mission with other group members.
Date: Sundays between 11 February and 2 June, 1030am - 1200pm at church. Please contact Kera if you want to register and have any questions. Deadline for registration is 28 Jan.30th Anniversary Commemorative Card: To provide our brothers and sisters with more opportunities to participate in the 30th-anniversary activities, the 30th Anniversary Magazine Committee has specially prepared 2 anniversary cards. Everyone is invited to write brief thoughts, visions, and blessings on these cards. The cards will be scanned and included as pages in the magazine. Please prepare your messages beforehand. Thank you for your cooperation. The cards will be posted next week near the canteen bulletin board for writing. Space is limited, so please write promptly.
Financial Report for Overseas Mission and Hardship Fund - December 2023
Note: The Overseas Missions Fund has contributed a total of $33,700 as planned in December 2023:
1. Four missionary groups received a total of $25,100,
2. "Smile Lanka" school received $3,500,
3. Hong Kong Bible Conference received $2,000,
4. China Graduate School of Theology received $2,500,
5. "30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World" received $600.
Hardship Fund: In December 2023, $2,528.71 was disbursed to support a needy family within the church.
Mission News
In remembrance of the challenging service of S & C in their mission field, they are currently facing the "cold winter" of both freezing temperatures and challenging circumstances. Praying that the Lord helps them, prepares students and parents for them, and strengthens the work of their hands.
H & P expresses gratitude for the warriors who have prayed alongside them during the past five years of missionary service. As the second phase of the bilingual class in the community is about to begin, they seek the Lord's preparation of students and parents to come to know Him!
Pastor Janet Tam prays for the service of preparing a children's choir (musical missionary) at the Smile Lanka School for the poor, asking for the Lord's guidance. Also, praying for Sunday school teachers needed at the First Baptist Church, asking the Lord to prepare them!
Urgent prayers are requested for H & Y's service, as two coworkers have been forced to leave their missionary team. Praying that the Lord preserves and guides them forward!
Missionary couple, James Che and his wife, have flown back to the church in Ethiopia last week. Praying that the Lord helps them to serve Him with robust health and keeps them safe in their comings and goings!
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray that God will empower us to carry the essence of 'Love & Legacy' into every aspect of our lives – within our families, friendships, workplaces, and beyond. May this theme guide our thoughts, words, and deeds, bringing glory to His name.
May the Men Support Group be a place of strength, encouragement, and growth for our brothers. May God bless the leaders and participants, guiding them in their spiritual journeys and drawing them closer to God's heart.
Pray for the sisters engaging in the Significant Woman course. May they receive abundant insights, understanding, and a profound sense of purpose. Pray that they will be blessed by God's wisdom and grace as they navigate this journey of self-discovery and spiritual enrichment.
Pray that the Lord will safeguard Pastor Ivan and his family's physical, mental, and spiritual well-being during their time off, and grant them renewed strength.
Pray for those who are considering baptism and joining our church family. May the Spirit guide them, granting clarity and assurance. May God prepare their hearts for the upcoming baptism service, and surround them with a supportive community.
