Mid-Autumn Festival Outreach Event — Our Cantonese Congregation is planning a Mid-Autumn Festival Outreach Event and is looking for volunteers to help make it a welcoming and enjoyable afternoon for the community. We are seeking expressions of interest from anyone who would like to help host activity and games booths during the event.
When: Saturday 26 September, 2:00pm – 5:00pm (time TBC)
If you are keen to serve and be involved, please reach out to Emily for more information.3 Strands Connect 2.0 — The next 3 Strands Connect 2.0 event is happening today, 10:45am–12:00pm. The topic is "Careers" — come along to hear some of our sisters share their career journeys and God's guidance along the way.
Deacon Board News: The 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, 25 July, at 1:30pm. All members are warmly invited to set aside time to attend punctually and take an active interest in the affairs of the church. Please also pray for the proceedings of the meeting, that the Lord would guide it to a smooth and fruitful conclusion.
Sri Lanka Short-Term Mission Team Update: The mission team (Pastor Herman Yeung, Mance Chan, Kallen Chan, and Oliver Kuik) has arrived safely in Colombo, Sri Lanka as of 3 July and has begun their mission service. They will be serving at the Colombo Chinese Christian Church through adult worship and children's ministry, as well as making visits to different areas. Please continue to pray for the team — that God would use this trip to strengthen believers, spread the gospel, and glorify His name.
Giving
Let us remember the joy of giving and the blessings it brings to both the giver and the receiver. Tithe offering is a duty of all Christians. By giving, we honour God and fulfill His work through our church. May God bless the offering we willingly give. Prayer Items for this Week
Pray that as we receive Holy Communion today, we would be reminded of the grace that has made us one — that Christ through the cross has broken down every dividing wall and brought us near to God and to one another. May we live out this unity in love.
Pray for the Sri Lanka Mission Team as they serve this week. Ask God to open hearts, bless every interaction, and use their ministry in worship, children's work, and community visits to draw people to Christ and encourage the local church.
Pray that our church would be a community where people from every background and culture truly experience belonging — that the grace which has made us one in Christ would be visible in how we welcome, serve, and love one another.
