Spring BBQ: The caring department of the Cantonese Service is organizing a spring BBQ which will take place at HWC on Sunday 20th October, 5–7 pm. Fees: $15 for adults, $5 for children from 6–10 years old, free for children less than 5 years old. Families and friends are welcome, registration closes TODAY. Rev Stephen Tong will come to Auckland end of October to hold an evangelistic event on Monday 28th October at 7 pm. Preparations are being carried out in Auckland and they require about 130 helpers in childcare, transportation, ushers, and few other services. Brothers and sisters are willing to help, please register at the usher desk and fill out which service(s) and date(s) that you can participate. Please contact Rev Mark Wen for further details.

Registration for this year’s camp is now opened! This year’s topic is “The Cost of the Cross” with Aaron Geddis as the main speaker. Date: Friday 29th November 6 pm - Sunday 1st December 2 pm. Brother Wong Siu Pang, (from Cantonese Joy Fellowship) has passed away on 5/10 went back the Lord. His funeral service will be held this Saturday (19/10) at 10 am at church. Please pray for the family and may God comforts them.
Mission Information
Praise the Lord for 15 students attended the first InterCP mission course, of which 12 were from HWC. Pray that God will bless this course and expand the Kingdom of God.
Praise the Lord, following three months of chemotherapy, James Che has been responding well and doctors have planned for a further three months of treatment. Pray that God will heal James and allow him to continue to be salt and light witnessing for Christ.
Please pray for our M3 mission budget of $18,000 for the year 19/20. (Donations to M3 are tax-rebatable.)
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray for brothers and sisters who are baptized and joining church membership. May God strength their faith so they can continue to grow and bear fruits.
The new church motto for the next 2 years - “Renew Our Lives. Become His Disciples”. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out this motto.
Please pray for the recruitment of senior pastor, English youth pastor, Cantonese and Mandarin pastors.
Thank God for the construction work for church expansion has been going well. May God give us one heart and one vision to complete this project.
