- The church is recruiting members for the mission department and general maintenance department. If you would like to serve at church, this is a great opportunity. Please contact Timothy Yu if you are interested.
- A Communion Combined Service will be held on Good Friday (30 Mar) at 10 am. The theme is "The Suffering King". Let us come together and remember our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The pastoral search committee is recruiting a pastor for the English congregation particularly for the needs of children and youth development. The committee will advertise the pastoral role on appropriate media platforms. Please keep this in your prayer. A family forum will be held after Cantonese Service next Sunday. Please attend if you wish to know more about this recruitment. Additional information has been posted on the church noticeboard.
- The Mandarin Service will celebrate its 16th anniversary today at 2:30 pm, where Pastor Mark Wen will be preaching. During the service, we will have the commissioning ceremony for Pastor Wen. Birthday cake and refreshment will be served afterwards. All are invited to attend and give praise to our Lord.
- Church outing for the English congregation on the 17th March at Long Bay, from 9:30am until 3:00pm. Please see Luke Feng or Ricky Tung to sign up. Remember to bring - wet gear (togs), sunblock, waterbottle, hat, change of clothes (including socks), spare shoes, towel and plastic bag for wet clothes.
Congregation News
- Praise the Lord for His provision for Michael Kwok during his treatment and recovery. Further to his brain tumour operation, he has completed five radiotherapy sessions last week. He will now carry out six weeks of targeted therapy to control his lung tumour. Michael and his family would like to thank everyone for your caring and prayers. Please continue to pray for Michael's recovery during this time.
- Mrs Ma (Ma Por Por), who was a baptised member of our church has returned to the LORD on the 4th of March. She stayed in the Landsdowne rest home and received the gospel through our visitation team. Her farewell ceremony was held yesterday. Please pray that God will comfort her family and that they will hear the gospel and devote themselves to God in the future.
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray for brothers and sisters’ heart to apply the church motto in their life – Having the same mind as Christ.
Pray for a smooth resource consent application process for our church expansion project.
May God give all deacons, department heads and congregation committee the strength and wisdom to serve Him wholeheartedly. Also to unify and lead the church to become a light in the community.
Pray for Pastor Mark Wen, the newly appointed pastor of the Mandarin congregation. May God give him ability and wisdom to shepherd the members of the Mandarin congregation.
Pray for the "door-knocking" team that goes out every Wednesday in the second week of the month, and every Saturday in the fourth week.
