Mission News
Pray for August Mission Month, that God will use His servants to rekindle our passion for Mission.
Theme: Mission without borders
Theme Hymn: People need the Lord
Purpose: My passion for mission Through reflecting on and further understanding the "Salvation plan" of God, we anticipate that the congregation will rekindle their passion for mission, so that we will not miss but respond to every opportunity of mission around us in this generation.
Reflection:
Has our passion for mission cooled down with the easing of the impacts of the pandemic? Do we need to rekindle our passion for mission?
We need to transform ourselves and this generation by the power of the Lord, and not keep ourselves from stepping up for it.
We should aim to follow Jesus, Paul and the other apostles in their cross-cultural approach of mission, where they reached out to people without fear or other restrictions.
Prayer Items for the Week
The Church Theme for the next two years is: Love as He Loved • Love with His Love
Pray for the pandemic situation in NZ. May God look after those who are affected by the pandemic.
Pray for Pr Kam-Fu Kwok, the new pastor for the Mandarin Service, for his settling into the church.
A new pastor has been hired for the Cantonese service and her work visa application has been submitted. Pray that everything will proceed smoothly so she can join us soon.
Pray for pastoral recruitment for the Senior Pastor and English Service Pastor.
Pray for the Psalm reading plan. May God give us the determination to follow the plan and let us learn about Him more deeply so we will worship and praise Him more.
