Due to the increasing Omicron cases in the community, the Cantonese and Mandarin services have moved back to online worship while the English service will continue to have in-person worship. If there are any changes, the church will announce immediately. Please keep an eye on our notices.
30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World will begin the 2 April (Saturday). The Mission Department has arranged for a webinar by Pastor John Zheng to speak on the topic of “Encountering Islam” to make us more aware of how we can pray for Muslims and share the gospel with them. The English webinar will be held on 26 March (coming Saturday) at 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Due the sensitive nature of the topic, attendees will be required to register by Wednesday 23 March at https://forms.gle/UA1sYGk5GjtLA3df8.
A Covid Emergency Support Group has been set up to respond to and support English Service members and their families in case of Covid infection and isolation, in light of increasing Omicron cases in the community. If you and your families need help during isolation or illness, please reach out to your Small Group Leader who will then liaise with the Emergency Support Group for immediate response. Support may be in the form of delivering medicine, takeaway food or groceries (or picking up online orders) for the families in isolation, prayer and spiritual support.
51st Baptism combine service will be held on 17 April 2022. There may be changes depending on the situation. If you are interested in getting baptised, please submit your application to one of our Pastors or Deacons. The deadline is 20 March 2022. All applicants are required to have completed the nurturing course. Once applied, you will attend the Faith Seeking Class and an interview with the Deacon Board. We are also open for Church Membership and Child Dedication applications.
Pastor Ivan Hui from the Cantonese Service was confirmed to be Covid-positive after a RAT test last Friday. He is now recovering at home. Please pray for Pastor Ivan and his family.
Rev. Herbert Wong has completed the first half of the second stage of his cancer treatment. His doctor was satisfied with the results and is hopeful the treatments in the coming three weeks will continue to reduce the disease. Due to the radiotherapy, Pastor Wong is experiencing sore throat, loss of taste, and loss of appetite. Please continue to pray for him. May the Lord strengthen him to undergo the following treatments.

Mission News
Pray for the online seminars organised by the Mission Department. Two sessions in Mandarin/Cantonese and another session in English.
Pray for S&C’s ministry and that the local policies may change, otherwise they will be expecting more hardship in the coming year. May the merciful Lord keep their faith and strength to continue the mission.
Pray for H&P for they are moving their ministry to another location, and for the members who completed the training course . Pray that they will quickly adapt to the cold and the low oxygen level in the mission field.
Pray for Rev Tam as she aims to learn the local Sinhalese language. May God give her wisdom to be able to communicate with the local Sinhalese people.
Pray for the course of treatment that Pastor James will be undertaking, and Jessica Che’s theology studies. May God remember and guide the registration process of the Tanzanian church.
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray for the church members who are infected with COVID-19. May the Lord keep them and give peace to them and their family.
Pray for New Zealand’s pandemic situation as the daily confirmed cases have been around 20,000, while yesterday it had dropped to 18559 cases. May God remember those affected by the pandemic.
Pray that the war in Ukraine will end soon and that the governments can come to a peaceful resolution.
Steve is currently receiving chemotherapy. Please continue to pray for his health as he continues to go through the treatment. May God give Steve and Grace the strength and courage needed to overcome their tribulation.

Note: The Overseas Mission Fund has donated $3000 in mid-February to support "Smile Lanka", a charity organisation focusing on education for the poverty stricken in Sri Lanka. A $5 transaction fee was applied.

Pray for S&C’s ministry. They have gone through a lot of hardship and crossroads. May the merciful Lord keep their faith to continue the mission. Please pray for them.
Pray for H&P for they are moving their ministry to another location, and for P’s coordination of the training course starting in April. And Pray for H&P finding a suitable school for their children.
Praise the Lord! Rev Tam has regained her eyesight after the laser surgery. Her church’s baptism is postponed to 17 April due to the pandemic. Pray for the church members who are about to be baptised. May the Lord strengthen them, and allowing the baptism to proceed.
Give thanks that Pastor James and Jessica Che have experienced God’s guidance and many miracles throughout their service in the mission field. Pray that they can continue to share their testimony and spread the gospel. Amen!
