A warm welcome to everyone who's joining us for the first time this morning. We are delighted to have you here.

  1. COVID Traffic Lights System: NZ Government has announced that Auckland will move to Orange Light alert on 30/12/2021 at 11:59PM. In-person worship will resume on 2/1/2022. Vaccine pass must be presented. Online live stream will continue to be available. We encourage those who are feeling sick to stay home and participate through online service. Attendance through online streaming will be counted.

  2. In-person worship location: English Congregation worships in Church Extension, Cantonese and Mandarin Congregation worships in Main Hall. Please note that the Tracer QR Code is different for the following entrances: Main Hall Front Door, Side Hall Side Door, Door at Staircase for Upstairs Hall and Church Extension.

  3. Important notices for In-person worship: A kind reminder for all brothers and sisters to arrive earlier, so that we can complete the following and start worship promptly:

    • Masks wearing are encouraged. Church will prepare masks for those who needs it.

    • Scan QR code on arrival.

    • Display Vaccine Pass for the usher to verify.

    • Sanitise both hands.

    • Mark attendance.

  4. Baby room is available for use during in-person worship from 2nd January 2022. Due to the hygenic issues, toys will be removed from the rooms. Parents please bring your own toys for your children. Additionally, due to the water leaking in the pipes underground, water supply in the sink in the baby room is turned off. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  5. 2022 Floral offering can be registered online now if those who are willing to offer. Please register your name and choose your preferred date in the online form.
    Please note: the floral offering person must be a Christian. If children are interested, their parents must be Christians.

  6. 2022 Calendar available: For those who have not collected the church calendar, the calendar will be available for pick up next Sunday. Each family can get a copy. Single members can get a copy as well.

Mission News

  1. Remember the Mission Department as they meet with a missionary family going to the Muslim countries. Pray for their sharing so the Mission Department gets to understand their aspirations and needs.

  2. Pray for S&C and their children as they serve in difficult circumstances. May God provide and protect S&C and give them the wisdom to shepherd the church members.

  3. H&P are staying in NZ currently. They are teaching a missionary course online. May God give them wisdom and strength. Please keep praying God will lead them through their application for work visa.

  4. Praise the Lord. Rev. Janet Tam's, her church has now resumed In-Person worship. Pray for the health and spiritual life of the local believers. Pray for those brothers and sisters in hardship and that they can have strong faith in God.

  5. Remember James and Jessica’s ministry in Tanzania. Pray for their health and peace as the pandemic situation gets worse and their frequent travel to shepherd the church members.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. Pray for Rev. ET’s father, Rev. Herbert Wong. Rev. Herbert has completed the first part of the first phase of treatment. The second part will start in the coming week. After the first phase is completed, the second phase which includes chemotherapy and radiotherapy will start. Thank God for his providence and for everyone’s prayers. Please continue to pray for his treatment.

  2. The Church Theme for the next two years is: Love as He Loved • Love with His Love

  3. Pray for the work undertaken by the "Deacon Nomination Criteria & Procedures Review Group". May this group support the Deacon Board in reviewing the deacon nomination criteria and the procedures to nominate deacons.

  4. Pray for New Zealand’s pandemic situation as we have moved to the COVID Traffic lights system. May God remember those affected by the pandemic.

  5. Pray for pastoral recruitment for the Senior Pastor, English Service Pastor and Mandarin Service Pastor.

  6. A new pastor has been hired for the Cantonese service. Please pray for her work visa application. May God give her peace in her wait.

  2. Vaccine passes are now required for access to church premises:

    At the Red setting:

    • Sunday service is conducted via online streaming.

    • Church gatherings are limited to a maximum of 100 people.

    • On entry into church premises, members must scan the COVID-19 QR code, scan the vaccine pass, sanitise both hands, maintain 1-metre of physical distancing and wear masks at all times. Please maintain hygiene while operating church equipment.

    At the Orange setting:

    • Sunday service is conducted physically and via online streaming.

    • On entry into church premises, members must scan the COVID-19 QR code, scan the vaccine pass, and sanitise both hands. Wearing masks are encouraged. Please maintain hygiene while operating church equipment.

    At the Green setting:

    • Sunday service is conducted physically and via online streaming.

  3. Baby room is not in use when Auckland is at the Red setting under the COVID traffic lights system. This will be re-evaluated after 26th December 2021.

  4. End-of-year Thanksgiving (Online): There will be an End-of-year Thanksgiving Sharing event held online on Friday 31 of December, 7:30pm - 8:30pm. We encourage the brothers and sisters to stay online after the event is finished and gather with their small group or fellowship members, to count God's blessings and pray for each other.

Prayer Items for the Week

  1. Pray for Rev. ET and his family. His father, Rev. Herbert Wong has recently been diagnosed with nasopharynx cancer and has started receiving chemotherapy treatment from last week onwards. Pray that God will give Rev. Herbert enough strength to go through this battle, for the treatment to help soothe his symptoms and to minimise the side effects from the treatment. Pray for Rev. ET to have the energy to support his parents as well as continuing with his church responsibilities.

  2. Pray for the work undertaken by the "Deacon Nomination Criteria & Procedures Review Group". May this group support the Deacon Board in reviewing the deacon nomination criteria and the procedures to nominate deacons.

  3. Brother Steve Gutry is recovering well after surgery, thanks to the prayers of brothers and sisters. With remnants of cancer cells, Steve is undergoing chemotherapy shortly. May God’s healing come to Steve physically and spiritually, and that His name be glorified in this

  4. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out the church motto this year - "Renew our lives, become His disciples."
