The deacon board has decided that we will only restart in-person Sunday service at Covid-19 Alert Level 1. We will continue to keep track of attendance to online services.
Church Camp: The camp committee had a meeting last week and decided that under the current COVID circumstances, summer camp this year will be cancelled and postponed to a later date next year.
Equip conference 2022 is now open for registration. It is a 5-day conference where people gather in small groups to be trained to understand and teach the word of God. Fellow brothers and sisters that attended in the past have gained a deeper understanding of God and His words. Our congregation members are encouraged to attend. Mandarin Pastor Recruitment is currently advertising on local Chinese publications and listed on the church’s website. The application deadline is 30th November 2021. Please pray for the recruitment process.
Deacon Nomination Criteria & Procedures Review Group: In response to the requests made by church members at the 2021 AGM and the former deacons, the Deacon Board formed a Deacon Nomination Criteria and Rule Book Amendment committee, with Tony Yeung and Sally Che as core members.
First, a Deacon Nomination Criteria & Procedures Review group is formed. Its members include: Tony Yeung, Sally Che, Rev. ET Wong, Pr. Ivan Hui, Wynne Wong, Franklin Fung, Yvonne Zhang and Cindy Chiu. The review report will be submitted to the Deacon Board to approve.
At a later stage, members of the Rule Book Amendment group will be announced.

A new position for Church Administrator (Digital Support & Community Service) has been proposed by the Deacon Board to primarily manage and update the digital systems of the church. The demand for digital support in the church has been realised in view of the current communications and meetings conducted in multi-media format, including online worship services, church website, and Facebook platforms. Members serving in the audiovisual roles to enable online services across the three congregations, often with a full-time job, have been especially stretched. This new position is set up to fulfill the digital support needs, in addition to the coordination and execution of community services as part of the church’s outreach ministries. He is currently recovering at home. Big thanks to the pastors and brothers and sisters for their prayers and support. Let’s continue to pray for him for his upcoming treatments.
Mission News
In light of Christmas approaching, we pray that God works in our hearts to raise the target funds for supporting our missionaries and have the funds sent to their accounts in time as a gift for our missionaries to celebrate Christmas joy.
Remember S&C in your prayers. May God keep them in good health and wellbeing as the Winter season is approaching, and help them to shepherd co-workers, students and their parents.
Praise the Lord, H has returned to New Zealand and is currently in managed isolation. Please continue to pray for their ministries ahead. We have invited them to share with us their mission work and God’s word on 9th January 2022.

May God reveal to us the ugliness of our sin, help us trust in the power of His Son to cleanse our sins and heal the damage sin has caused in our lives.
May God keep our hearts warm towards Him and one another, even though we can’t meet in person yet. Staying in touch online can be tough, may God give us the love to keep going!

A new pastor has been hired for the Cantonese service. Please pray for her work visa application. May God give her peace in her wait.
