  3. Sunday Services will remain online due to uncertain development of the pandemic. The Deacon Board has decided that the date of resuming physical Sunday Service will only be announced when the alert level goes down to Level 1 per the government’s regulations. Online attendance will be recorded until further notice.

  4. The Sacred Music Service for the Cantonese congregation will be postponed from 16th October to 16th January next year per the decision of the Music Ministry Department because choir practice has not been resumed to date due to the current COVID outbreak.

  5. Church Camp: Our speaker, Mark Maney, will be preaching on the theme of Restoration - Life can be filled with uncertainties, disappointments and destruction. But what if things are being restored? How is God working in today's chaotic world?

  6. Equip conference 2022 is now open for registration. It is a 5 day conference where people gather in small groups to be trained to understand and teach the word of God. Fellow brothers and sisters that attended in the past have gained a deeper understanding of God and his word and our congregation is encouraged to attend. Mission News

  1. This year’s online M4 mission pledge is $25,200 which is exceed the target. Praise the Lord who prepares HWC to become a missionary church. The mission department also thanks for the support from all brothers and sisters.

  2. Remember S&C in your prayers. May God continue to guide them in their difficult situations. Pray that they can continue to minister and strengthen their small groups, Bible studies, co-workers, students and their parents.

  3. Remember H&P in your prayers. A repose from God that H will return to NZ at the end of October, and will appy a visa to visit South Asia Creative Access Nations. Creatove Access Nations are those countries or regions where missionaries are not welcome. May the Lord prepare the way in His Mighty Hand.

  4. Please pray for Rev Janet Tam that her missionary in Galle, the Southern City of Sri Lanka. May the Lord prepare an evangelism co-worker for Rev Janet Tam to expand the Kingdom of God.

  5. Remember James and Jessica’s ministry in Tanzania. Pray that God will strengthen them and give them good health to expand God’s kingdom.

  1. Thank God that Auckland has moved to alert level 3. Pray for the current COVID-19 situation in New Zealand and those affected by the lockdown.

  2. The motto for this year will remain the same as previous year. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out the church motto this year - "Renew our lives, become His disciples."

  3. Pray for pastoral recruitment for the Senior Pastor and English service pastor.

  4. A new pastor has been hired for the Cantonese service. Please pray for her application of the work visa. May God give her peace in her wait.

  4. The 52nd Baptism originally planned to be held on 3rd October will be cancelled due to COVID alert level. If there are any urgent baptism applications, we will make special arrangements.
    Instead of a combined service as originally planned for the day, the three congregations will worship separately as usual.

  5. The Sacred Music Service for the Cantonese congregation will be postponed from 16th October to 16th January next year per the decision of the Music Ministry Department because choir practice has not been resumed to date due to the current COVID outbreak.

  6. Church Camp: We are excited to announce that the church camp this year will be held at the Peter Snell Youth Campsite from Friday 3rd December to Sunday 5th December. Put it in your calendars and diaries and more information on the theme and registration will be coming out shortly. Please pray for the camp theme development process, that the theme developed would be applicable to us and our hearts can be engaged to respond to the work of the Holy Spirit.

Mission Information

  1. The Mission Department has published a report for this year’s mission month. It contains a summary of the sermon messages for this month, updates from our missionaries and financial reports. You can find a copy of this here: https://holywordchurch.online/en/mission

  2. The budget of this year’s M4 mission is $24,500. Pledge offering for Aug 2021 to Mar 2022 can be submitted to the offering box, or on our website at www.holywordchurch.online/mission-pledge. Online submission deadline extends to 30th September 2021.

  3. Remember S&C in your prayers. Please pray that the new government policies in their mission field will have minimal impact on their ministry.

  4. Remember H&P in your prayers, due to the local policies, their family have temporarily been separated from each other and will likely need to move to another mission field to be re-united. Please pray for the local pandemic situation and that the curfew may be lifted soon.

  5. Remember James and Jessica’s ministry in Tanzania. Pray that God will strengthen them and give them good health to expand God’s kingdom.
