Spring BBQ: The caring department of the Cantonese Service is organizing a spring BBQ which will take place at HWC on Sunday 20th October, 5–7 pm. Fees: $15 for adults, $5 for children from 6–10 years old, free for children less than 5 years old. Families and friends are welcome, registration closes on 13th October. Please contact Jenny Lee or Herman Yu for further information.
Rev Stephen Tong will come to Auckland end of October to hold an evangelistic event (Monday 28th October) and a music concert (Thursday 31 October). Both are held in the evening at 7 pm. Preparations are being carried out in Auckland and they require about 130 helpers in childcare, transportation, ushers, and few other services. Brothers and sisters are willing to help, please register at the usher desk and fill out which service(s) and date(s) that you can participate. Please contact Rev Mark Wen for further details.
Registration for this year’s camp is now opened! This year’s topic is “The Cost of the Cross” with Aaron Geddis as the main speaker. Date: Friday 29th November 6 pm - Sunday 1st December 2 pm. Location: Peter Snell Youth Village 1212 Whangaparaoa Rd, Gulf Harbour, Whangaparaoa. Students - $124 and Working - $130. Sign up before November 1st!
Mission Information
Praise the Lord for 9 students have signed up for the InterCP mission course. There will be more students from other churches to participate as well. Pray that God will bless this course and expand the Kingdom of God.
We have received a total of 25 offering pledge forms. A total amount of $16,000 has been pledged. The pledge is a representation of our trust in God's providence and a response to God's abundant grace. May God help us to respond faithfully. (Please note that donations to M4 are not tax-rebatable.)
Please pray for our M3 mission budget of $24,000 for the year 19/20. (Donations to M3 are tax-rebatable.)
Prayer Items for the Week
Pray for brothers and sisters who are baptized and joining church membership. May God strength their faith so they can continue to grow and bear fruits.
The new church motto for the next 2 years - “Renew Our Lives. Become His Disciples”. Pray that brothers and sisters can live out this motto.
Please pray for the recruitment of senior pastor, English youth pastor, Cantonese and Mandarin pastors.
Thank God for the construction work for church expansion has been going well. May God give us one heart and one vision to complete this project.
