Mission News

  1. Praying for Nepal

Nepal is a country in the Himalayas region of South Asia.  The northern border is connected to China and the other three borders are neighboured to India.  Nepal has a long history and many historic buildings & sceneries.  Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the country and is famous for hiking.  There was an earthquake in 2015 which was the worst quake in 81 years.  The historical Royal Palace area was almost destroyed and casualties were more than 6,000.  Nepal is the only Hindu Kingdom in the World and it is illegal to teach people to change their religions.  Nepalese will be imprisoned for life and foreigners will be deported.  As a result, missionaries serving there usually enter the country in their profession while serving in Christ. Prayer: (a) May unbelievers in remote areas know Jesus. (b) May the new generation of the church be equipped through the bible and to learn the life of Christ. (c) May the living God help affected victims by the quake to start a new life.

  2. Reverend Janet Tam

    1. Praise the Lord. Rev. Janet Tam's work visa to Sri Lanka is approved. Continue to keep her in your prayers as she will now prepare her departure within the month.
